Breakfast is pathetic, staff is completely confused. First the check-in lasted about half an hour (tried to overcharge it) but even with that much time they managed to mess it up so when we returned from the visit to the city center, for another half hour they wouldn't let us in our room (paid on check-in) because 'we have to pay for another night bla bla bla... Turns out to be the case of mistaken identity, but why make it my problem? We were totally unimpressed by Bratislava so I can't say this incident spoiled my stay...
The people behind the reception were very helpfull, always polite and accessable. The place at the lake is very nice.
The TV´s in the rooms are very old, small and don´t have any channels from other countries, only Slovakian. The rooms are clean, but the furniture and style is very old communistic. Even from outside the building looks, as if it would fall into pieces at any given time. Its not possible to consume something in the restaurants or bar and have it on the hotel bill. And many little things more.
Staff was very helpful, tasty breakfast, hotel near city center, quiet and beautiful area around nice lake with green beach. Good value for money.
Girl at reception (Jara I think?) was excellent, very friendly and polite and took her time trying to help us negotiate the transport systems etc. Good location for a day trip into Bratislava too. Breakfast was good and hot food replenished regularly, hotel was generally clean and pleasant
Outdated decor, no international plug adaptors available- though I should stress that these are rather picky points and did not reduce my opinion of the hotel.
Next to the hotel is a great pool - good refreshing in a hot day.
I stayed there during ice-hockey championship. So location was really close to Orange arena.
I would say this is rather 2 star level hotel :)
The location is very nice near a beautiful lake with fishes, the staff is nice, the rooms are clean, the parking is free, internet wireless is free in the room. There is a supermarket nearby in case you need anything.
The breakfast is very basic and it is the same everyday. If you stay only 2-3 days it is perfect but if you stay longer as I did, you will be bored by the same menu everyday. The location is about 30 mn of walking to the center of the city but if you have a car as I did it is not a problem. The furniture is old but is clean. It is a little beat noisy as the rooms doors are sharing a large open space in the middle of the building(which is built somehow in the letter "U" shape) and there is a bar at the ground floor.
Reception staff were very helpful. Location near the lake with well-kept trail for jogging and relaxation area.
The hotel is very humble, old, the door of the bathroom doesn't close. The tv is from the 70's . there's no fridge, you have no place to put the shampoo or the towel when your taking a bath. Worst hotel, but you'll live with it.
Only the lake nearby the hotel and localization.
Breaksaft!!! was terrible. We take a room including breaksaft that was from 6 till 10 a.m. Every day when we come to eat (about 9a.m) on the the plates was only leftovers of warm food even to the end of breaksast left 1 hour. The 4th day wagetables in the small contaiuners were not for consumption. Would be better to buy some bread in billa shop it would be fresher. Cleaning- only once by 4 days was change the towel and nothing more.
Not lake - puddle. Not casono - only poker-club and slots. Very noisy at night - at the bottom club and disco. Do not order a taxi to the hotel - did not come.
Good location. Great service. Comfy rooms. Acceptable rates.
Elevator was old, like really old.
Clean, renovated rooms, good breakfast, nice lake near the hotel, big parking lot, Billa across the street
Poor English language knowledge of the staff, old communist building, poor lighting in the room
Good value for the money. Big parking hotel area. Nice breakfast. Nice lake view(many people joining there some kind of sun bath/beach simulation). Big shop(BILLA) and car wash only 150 mtrs away.
No aircon(we were there in very hot days) but night time is OK. I little far from center of the city but if you are there with car - very convenient.
I have to admit I was a bit worried when we drove up to the hotel. It isn't very esthetically pleasing (looks like a communist block of concrete) and the parking lot looks abandoned but we were extremely pleased once we got inside. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The room was good (except we had no curtains just shades so it wasn't as dark as we wanted). The bathroom was good also. But it was very comfortable. Free parking and wi-fi was a big plus for us. The nicest surprise came when we went to have dinner in the hotel restaurant - which looked like some old school cafeteria. The prices are incredibly cheap and the food was delicious (all Slovak food only). We loved this place and would go back if we ever went back to Bratislava.
Odd/depressing exterior. Outside of old city but easily reachable via tram.
